DNA molecular weight markers

These are also commonly referred to as DNA ladders.
Ladders can be home made or purchased from molecular biology supply companies.

We will mostly use GeneRuler™ 1 kb DNA ladder from Fermentas.
For your convieniance there is a picture of the ladder presented here, but you should go to the Fermentas site to read up on this ladder.
